Leading all aspects of the BPS operations.
Prior to founding BPS, Bim worked as an investment banker for Deutsche Bank (In New York and Chicago), covering the renewable energy sector. He advised utilities such as Exelon on mergers and acquisition of power plant assets, worked on initial public offerings for manufacturers such as First Solar, and led project financing efforts for multiple renewable energy projects.
Bim started his career as an aeronautical engineer at British Airways where he was responsible for managing major maintenance checks for Boeing 737 aircraft. Thereafter he joined Rolls-Royce, initially as a design engineer, designing turbine blades for military aircraft engines. He later joined Rolls Royce’s commercial aerospace division where he was responsible for sales and marketing in Northeast Asia, with airline clients in China, Japan and South Korea.
Serving as a coverage banking officer for renewable energy companies, and having seen the impact of disruptive technologies (specifically cell phones) in Africa led Bim to conceive of BPS in 2008. After eighteen months of market research – which included multiple trips to sub-Saharan Africa, BPS was launched in February 2010. In addition to driving the strategic direction for the company, Bim oversees the Business Development/Client Acquisition and finance functions, serving as interim CFO.
Bim has a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering (with First Class Honors) from the University of Salford (U.K), a Masters in Engineering Management from the McCormick School of Engineering (Northwestern University) and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University).

He is also responsible for ensuring project execution is completed in line with pre-set scope, and that it is accomplished on time and on budget.
He brings with him over 15 years of experience leading major engineering projects, as well as developing and managing engineering teams. As VP of Engineering at Welden he was responsible for the design and successful implementation of energy efficiency projects for over 100 large commercial buildings across the globe achieving cumulative energy cost savings of over $80 million in the process. Among his most notable projects, he served as lead engineer for the design and execution of the 34 story, 550 room Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco, achieving the prestigious Energy Star label which is awarded to the most energy efficient buildings. At BPS he has led the company’s efforts to hire, train and develop engineers in the US and in Nigeria. He provides regular training and is ultimately responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of BPS’ execution, especially as the company grows and achieves scale.
